OY! Nerds from the Internet! Read the rest of the damn site will you!

“The uniforms of the Imperial Guard are camouflaged in order to protect their wearers by hiding them from sight.

The principle is that what the enemy cannot see he cannot kill. This is not the way of the Adeptus Astartes. A Space Marine’s armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his Chapter and the beloved Emperor of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear…”
+++ Chaplain Aston, 10th Company, Fire Hawks Chapter +++

“If I were a proper brother-captain, I would know the prayer we are supposed to say. But I think you all know what we have to do. We do not know what our chances of survival are, so we fight as if they were zero. We do not know what we are facing, so we fight as if it was the dark gods themselves. No one will remember us now and we may never be buried beneath Titan, so we will build our own memorial here. The Chapter might lose us and the Imperium might never know we existed, but the Enemy – the Enemy will know. The Enemy will remember. We will hurt it so bad that it will never forget us until the stars burn out and the Emperor vanquishes it at the end of time. When Chaos is dying, its last thought will be of us. That is our memorial – carved into the heart of Chaos. We cannot lose, Grey Knights. We have already won.”
~Acting-Brother-captain Alaric of the Grey Knights

“You are not free whose liberty is won by the rigour of other, more righteous souls. Your are merely protected. Your freedom is parasitic, you suck the honourable man dry and offer nothing in return. You who have enjoyed freedom, who have done nothing to earn it, your time has come. This time you will stand alone and fight for yourselves. Now you will pay for your freedom in the currency of honest toil and human blood.”
- Inquisitor Czevak Address to the Council of Ryanti

Our end is come. But what an end! We have been given the most precious gift: a chance to roar our defiance into the foes that overwhelms us with their numbers. Let the Emperor himself hear our final battle cry! Forward warriors of the Guard, and die like the heroes that you are!
~Last speech of Colour Sargeant Kint, before the annhilation of the Braxian 9th, in the Luxxan Campaign against the Orks

I need to learn many things but that i realy need to learn is why Tau Empire is soo small and why FIRE WARRIORS skills (BS,W,Sv) are not good like Space Marines skills and the story i think says that FIRE WARRIORS are all heros with advanced skills

    @Manthos
Tau Fire Warriors are the same as Imperial Guardsman. The offset is their tech. High impact energy weapons, long range rail rifles, drones.

This is a nice collection of quotes. Nice work.

    Re:Manthos

The tau are a young race in 40K, yet a very technologically developed. They arn’t involved in the quarrels between good and evil, but for their “greater good” which still eludes me.

Also, this is just a theory, but the races seem to be based on reality. The tau are like the japenese, chinese etc; small yet have very broad technological skills; the imperial gaurd is europeans with their numbers and ballistic weapons.

Look closely and take a look then get back to me.

First of all, nice job on the quotes :P

@Manthos, You can’t compare Firewarriors to Space Marines.
Its like comparing ants to lions.

Japanese, Chinese; small? but I think China has twice as many people as Europe.
No I dont think all races are based on reality.

Though the Imperial guard has inspiraton from many Armies from WO I and WO II.
And Tau are based on Japansese manga n’ stuff, because Japanese love robots.

War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength.
Isn’t that from the book 1984?
