So, what’s my real problem? It’s not actually the Techno itself, it isn’t bad by any stretch, if nothing else it does have more merit than that noisy mistake that’s rap music.
It’s just that it, similar to Rap, R’n’B and Pop music sells itself by the way of sex. You really can’t argue against it, it’s selling through sex.
Fuck talent, let’s turn all singers into sex symbols and just ignore their potential talent, or lack there off, who cares if they can sing, we’ll fix that in post-production.

First off, great site. Your rants are pretty much spot on so far. Found the site looking for 40k quotes. Been reading articles since. I agree with a lot of it, disagree with a lot of it, but totally respect your opinion because every point you’ve made thus far has been spot on. Then I see this article. I have to say, your choice of Scooter was the worst possible example one could think of. And by worst I simply mean “most spot on”. Scooter is one of the most polarized dace acts to date. Most people hate him because of his terribly commercial and boring hard dance and happy hardcore. Some people love two or three songs and hate the rest. You have to admit, once upon a time he had some good tracks. Like Coldwater Cayon. My wife and I love Ramp but we can hardly listen to it because every time he pukes up strange evil sounds from his guts (quite often and uncalled for in Ramp) it makes us want to puke right along. Having said that, your point is beyond valid. Go to youtube and look up the name of any recent hardcore album. Bonkers 16. Clubland Xtreme Hardcore. Anything. What do you get? A mish-mash of terrible voice overs and screaming fans while the (sometimes) good music is chopped and screwed in the background. But what I’m really wanting you to look at is the visuals. Every one is a huge slideshow of tramps in weird furs “dancing” just like the weird girls in the Scooter videos. (And what in the hell is up with that tutu?). The Electronic Dance Music (EDM) “scene” is filled with good music and pretty good artists but it’s plagued with commercialism and sex. If drugs weren’t so taboo, they would have pictures of hash pipes scattered in with the sex.
